The project

A period home with a moisture problem

Long-standing moisture had taken hold under this period home in Bentleigh, and mould had spread through the affected rooms.

The owner brought us in before the scope was fixed, so the job could deal with the cause of the water, not just the damage it had done.

Early involvement

The work before the building work

Through early contractor involvement we delivered the drainage engineering, a landscape design to move water away from the house, and the subfloor remediation costings, all before construction started.

The mould was handled by specialists. Independent spore sampling first, IICRC-certified treatment, then completion testing to confirm the rooms were clear before they were closed up.

Why Siji

Fix the cause, then build

Rebuilding the damaged rooms without fixing the drainage would have brought the mould back. Getting in early meant the ground levels, the drainage and the subfloor were sorted before the new bathrooms went in.

It is a small project by our standards, but the approach is the same on every job.
